Aims of the group and this website

To raise the profile and increase the recording of micro moths in Northamptonshire.

As with the macro moths, it is hoped to increase interest and therefore generate more records in order to produce as complete a list of the county's micro moths as possible. We have records dating back to the early part of the 20th Century (indeed, a couple of records dating to the middle of the 19th Century), but these are patchy. With the aid of recent publications and a plethora of internet identification sites, we hope to be able to build on this early work.

Therefore we welcome your records, photographs or queries regarding identification.
