area of larch and associated species.

Lowland Mixed Woodland. Local Nature Reserve and SSSI.
Good range of tree species including beech. Highest number of
recorded species in the county - this may be because it is the
best recorded site.

Unimproved grassland. Best site for grassland species in
Northamptonshire. Good range of waxcaps.
Harlestone Firs, Grid Reference: SP715640 - (Map)
Lowland Mixed Woodland. Good stands of conifers and
associated species.
Hazelborough Forest, Grid Reference: SP667411 - (Map)
Lowland Mixed Woodland. Nice mix of tree species. Good
area of pine and associated species.
Old Sulehay, Grid Reference: TL054983 - (Map)
Lowland Mixed Woodland. Local Nature Reserve. The old
quarry area is more diverse than the ash woodland.

Lowland Mixed Woodland. Nice mix of tree species. Good
areas of spruce and pine and associated species. Good area of
beech, but this is in Bucks.
Wakerley Great Wood, Grid Reference: SP962981 - (Map)
Lowland Mixed Woodland, Part of the Rockingham Forest project.
Nice mix of tree species. Good area of larch and associated
species by the car park. Best site for earthstars in the county.
