15 October 2006 Borough Hill is the best unimproved grassland in Northants and conditions were excellent over the weekend. Three species of entoloma and eight species of hygrocybe were found including Hygrocybe insipida (Jeff Blincow).

14 October 2006 The Huntingdon Fungus Group autumn foray to Ring Haw proved very successful including the Mousepee Pinkgill Entoloma incanum. A full list will be available at the Huntingdon Fungus Group website.

14 October 2006 Hygrocybe calciphila, Hygrocybe virginea var. ochraceopallida and Mousepee Pinkgill Entoloma incanum were found at Old Sulehay by Jeff Blincow.

12 October 2006 Leccinum aurantiacum a new county record was found under aspen at Yardley Chase (SP848551) by Tony Richardson.

10 October 2006 Conditions in Northamptonshire are currently the best for fungi in the last 5 years.

08 October 2006 The Huntingdon Fungus Group autumn foray to Yardley Chase found more than 50 species. A full list will be available at the Huntingdon Fungus Group website.

07 October 2006 The rare Conocybe aeruginosa was found in area of grassland with scattered trees by the main car park at Salcey Forest by Jeff Blincow.

30 September 2005. Solitary Amanita Amanita echinocephala (Image1, Image2) a new county record was found in grassland under oak quercus at Barnack Hills and Holes NNR (TF075047) by Jeff Blincow.

30 September 2005. Agaricus lanipes a new county record was found under Yew Taxus baccata at Yardley Chase (SP848551) by Jeff Blincow.

30 September 2005. Parasitic Bolete Xerocomus parasiticus recorded under Sweet Chestnut Castanea sativa at Lings Wood (SP802638) by Jeff Blincow.

06 August 2005. Gymnopilus dilepis a new county record was found on wood chippings at Yardley Chase (SP848551) by Tony Richardson.

27 May 2006. A fine display of 20+ Black Morel Morchella elata (Image1, Image2, Image3) was discovered in Moulton Village, Northampton by Paul Fuller and Robin Gossage.

10 May 2006. Seven fruitbodies of the endangered cup fungi Sarcosphaera coronaria were found by Alan Robbins at Twywell Hills & Dales LNR.

06 May 2006. The Huntingdon Fungus Group spring foray to Yardley Chase produced two new county records, Helvella queletii and Cortinarius vernus. Other significant records were Thimble Morel Verpa Conica and Bleach Cup Disciotis venosa. Only 20 species were recorded - a full list is available at the Huntingdon Fungus Group website.

10 April 2006. Cedar Cup Geopora sumneriana was recorded under 9 Cedars Cedrus sp at Abington Park, Northampton (SP756606) by Jeff Blincow.

21 February 2006. Scarlet Elfcup Sarcoscypha austriaca was recorded at Farthingstone LNR by Tim Pridmore.
