An adult Rose-coloured Starling Sturnus roseus was found at Woodford Halse on Monday 14th September 1998 (It could have been present for four days). This is the third record for Northamptonshire and the only record in living memory. Thie bird was still present on 18th September.

A Red-rumped Swallow Hirundo daurica was seen at Daventry CP on 23 and 24/04/1999. This is the second county record for this species.
