Distribution and Abundance: Rare.

Primary Habitat: Wetland.

Flight Period: Single brooded from June to August.

Record: 11 August 2007 Stanwick Lakes (R. Baylis) and 30 June 1986 Blatherwyke Lake (D. Howton).

Observations: A species with few records over the years. Earlier localities are Borough Fen Decoy 1975, Bedford Purlieus to 1964 and Easton Hornstocks 1955. The Wellingborough moth below was taken in a garden m.v. light trap on 11 June 1952.
