  Status:  Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: I have been unable to find any record of an autumn generation of the moth occurring in the county. In the past I have found the caterpillar commonly feeding on male fern in a Kettering town garden.
