  Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Double brooded from June to September with overlapping broods.

Observations: On 23 August 2003 five m.v. light traps left overnight at Boughton Park attracted 1297 moths primarily of the second brood; many others flew away and were not counted. The second brood was also very plentiful at Kelmarsh Lake in August and September 2000 with reddish ochreous forms predominating.

L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Very common.
