Key to Text Moths of Northamptonshire

Key to Map
  White-point Mythimna albipuncta

  Status:  Migrant.

Distribution and Abundance: Rare.

Records: 18 July 1999 Daventry (K. Williams),
5 August 2003 Boughton Park (D. Howton)
5 September 2006 Old Sulehay Forest (R. Follows) and
21 October 2009 Woodnewton (N. Smith).

Observations: Although the above are the only known county records as the moth closely resembles its congener The Clay (M. farrago) it can easily be passed over as this species. The Boughton Park moth was quite similar to The Clay but its smaller size was initially apparent.

First Record: 1999, Daventry, Williams.
