| Status: Vagrant.
Distribution and
Abundance: Rare.
Record: 26
August 2008 Woodnewton (N. Smith).
Observations: The
first county record of this moth (depicted in the lower
image) was taken in a garden m.v. light trap on 26 August
2008. The species is reported as resident in the
South-east of Britain, with populations also recorded in
parts of Wales. A singleton was recorded in Earith,
Huntingdonshire on 15 July 2005, and another two
individuals were reported from a garden light trap in
Slough, Buckinghamshire, in July 1998. Aside from these
records, it has not knowingly been reported from other
adjacent counties and is therefore most likely that this
specimen is a vagrant, possibly brought in as a larva on
soft fruit plants.
First Record: 2008,
Smith.
