  Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded from May to July.

Localities: Fineshade, Wakerley Wood, Bedford Purlieus and Southey Wood.     

Observations: Apart from a single record from Kettering in 1925 the species appears to be entirely confined to the north-eastern corner of the county. The moth was fairly common at light on 31 May 1992 at Easton Hornstocks and several were “put up” on 31 May 1997 whilst walking along the disused railway line at Wakerley.
