Record: 17 June 1945 Helpston Heath (F. Adams).

Observations: This is the only Northamptonshire record for the species. Although at the time the habitat at Helpston Heath would have been suitable for the moth it is impossible to say whether the record stems from a population on the reserve or a wanderer from elsewhere. Despite the date being rather early, as Frank Adams was an extremely reliable recorder there would be no doubt as to the correctness of the identification.
