  Ash Pug Eupithecia fraxinata

  Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Double brooded from June to August.

Localities: Nene College Park Campus, Geddington Chase, Wakerley Wood and Castor Hanglands.

Observations: Although almost certainly under mapped the moth only seems to be seen at light and even then in very small numbers. In the past all of my attempts to find the pupa amongst moss at the foot of ash trees have failed.

L.O.N.: 1902. Weedon, near Kettering. Not common.

First Record: 1890, Edwards.
