| Status:
Resident. Distribution
and Abundance: Fairly common.
Primary Habitat: Woodland.
Flight
Period: Single brooded from June to August.
Observations: The
moth is not strongly attracted to light and is certainly
more widespread in the county than the mapping suggests.
As it is easily netted when flying at dusk this may be
the best way to increase its known distribution. A pair
of moths were observed by day in cop on 15 July 1979 in
Badsaddle Wood.
L.O.N.: 1907.
Many localities. Common.
First
Record: 1843, Whitewell.
